Jon’s practice primarily involves counseling businesses, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital transactions, private securities offerings, licensing and technology transactions, corporate governance, general business counseling and related matters. He also has significant experience in the areas of commercial real estate and project development, and has negotiated international corporate and business transactions in over 30 countries throughout the world. Jon lives with his family on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Prior to 2014, Jon lived and practiced law in New York State, where he was a partner in Phillips Lytle LLP and served as the firm’s Corporate Practice Group Leader. Jon graduated first in his class from Cornell University and was appointed a Merrill Presidential Scholar for academic excellence and demonstrated leadership abilities. He attended Oxford University in the UK to perform thesis-related graduate-level studies in philosophy.
